Murals at the office of Enexis, 2025

Enexis constructs and maintain the gas and electricity grid in the Netherlands and provides for the transport of energy. For example, they transport energy from solar parks and windmills to the houses. So they are all about ENERGY! We wanted to showcase this, plus this ambition for more renewable energy by using the rapeseedflower (a very regional flower).

Enexis transports energy from solar parks and windmills to houses. And since these murals that we made are at the office, we wanted to highlight the workers that are usually not at the office: the people that construct and maintain the energy grid! And we wanted to highlight the connection between these mechanics and the residents. They bring our electricity, so we can chill. And work. And do our laundry.

The whole of the Netherlands is covered in these little houses, Trafohuisjes. They change the voltage from high to low, to make sure that the electricity is suitable for people’s homes. These little houses are also super super beautiful, so we wanted to show them in this staircase! Here we also wanted to connect the office to the work that the mechanics do. And hopefully, when the mechanics visit the office, they feel welcomed and recognised!
